The veteran broadcaster died when a battle with cancer, it's
been confirmed.
His family issued an announcement, asserting the unhappy
news. It read: "Sir Terry Wogan died nowadays when a brief however brave
battle with cancer.
"He died encircled by his family. whereas we tend to
perceive he are incomprehensible by
several, the family raise that their privacy is revered at this point."
Following the news fellow TV stars and fans have taken to
Twitter in their droves to pay tribute to the TV star.
In a significantly touching message Dermot O'Leary wrote:
"Sir Terry. simply the foremost heat hearted, generous, funny, clever,
life affirming man. a part of the foundations of @BBCRadio2 therefore terribly
unhappy."
Born in Limerick, Sir Terry's 50-year
career on radio, tv saw him become one among the nation's most cherished
broadcasters.
From his involvement in youngsters in would like since its
origination, to his talk show, and unchanged comment on the Eurovision Song
Contest, he was a person of the many skills.
