Oscar-nominated Charlotte Rampling says boycott row is "racist to white people"





Charlotte Rampling has mentioned the Oscars boycott is "racist to white people".
The British celebrity, who is nominated within the satisfactory actress category at this 12 months's Academy Awards, spoke out after calls were made to boycott the ceremony as a result of its all-white nominations record for the 2d 12 months running.
Speakme on French Radio network Europe 1 today, Rampling said "perhaps black actors didn't should make the final list".
She is up for her role in the drama forty five Days and will compete against Room’s Brie Larson, Carol’s Cate Blanchett, pleasure’s Jennifer Lawrence and Brooklyn’s Saoirse Ronan.
