David Bowie's former Caribbean
retreat is available on the market following the singer's tragic death.
The enduring house Oddity rock superstar - whose sad passing
aged 69 was validated on Monday morning following an 18-month fight with cancer
- had the potent property built on a confidential island nearly 30 years in the
past.
It may be located on Mustique, which the legend described as
a "fable island", which was once becoming given he saw the retreat
itself - designed by architect Arne Hasselqvist and constructed in 1989 - as
"whim personified".
Speakme in 1992, Bowie as soon as mentioned: "I wanted
something as in contrast to the Caribbean as possible.
It’s a whim personified. I like a excellent cliché, and this house, for me, is
just the most delightful cliché. What you have got to comprehend is that
Mustique is a fantasy island."
He later sold the property to millionaire writer and poet
Felix Dennis for £three.5 million, and following his passing in 2014 it has
long past back in the marketplace.
The structures that make up the retreat surround a lovely
backyard, and the home - which was developed on a 3-mile-lengthy sandy outcrop
- boasts 5 bedrooms, tremendous views of the ocean, a moist bar and beautiful
swimming pool.
